comes to Pet and Home Care ...
"The group that walks with
Shannon have been amazing for Reefer's social skills ..."
I have a Border Collie/Beagle
cross named Reefer who was rescued in Prince George, BC when he was
only 5 months old. He is an amazingly smart, ball crazy dog, but
he needs to be constantly socialized with other dogs to see that it's
ok to play with other dogs and that they're not out all out to hurt
him. The group that walks with Shannon have been amazing for
Reefer's social skills and attitude towards other dogs.
Shannon is very dedicated to providing
Reefer with a fun and safe environment for him to play and socialize.
She is professional and her expertise with handling pets is very much
evident in Reefer's attitude. Furthermore, I can tell Reefer is
having a lot of fun in Shannon's group walks, in his perkiness and
extreme excitement when Shannon comes to pick him up. When he
hears her van pull in the driveway, he jumps up with his tail wagging
furiously in anticipation of seeing Shannon and to go to meet
his dog friends to play. His expression says it all.
I would recommend Shannon's pet services to
anyone. Your pet is in good care.

"(Shannon) is so good to us - ... lots of playtime, treats and
presents"
Don't tell MM (she might get jealous) but we love our visits
with Shannon. When MM brings out the suitcases (she always
packs too much) we know that Shannon will be at the door soon.
We have known Shannon since we were kittens and she is so good
to us - visits when MM is away, lots of playtime, treats and
presents at Xmas even when she is not looking after us. It's
great.
Tell your parents to sign you up, and enjoy!

" .. no sign of separation anxiety or clinging behavior -
no doubt ... due to Shannon’s visits"
Shannon has been our dog walker since we got our puppy 4 years ago.
She also checks our home when we are away. She is always dependable
and more than accommodating to our schedule which involves long work
days, weekends, and holidays. We believe her visits, attention and
exercise for Teagan when we are away is one of the reasons she is such
a happy good dog. Even as a puppy there were no accidents, chewing, or
negative behavior.
When we are off work Teagan goes every where with us. She is very
seldom alone. After our work days there is no sign of separation
anxiety or clinging behavior, she greets us happily at the door. There
is no doubt that this is due to Shannon’s visits.
If we ever wonder what Teagan thinks of Shannon – it’s obvious to
all when they meet either at home or by chance in the community.
Teagan could not wag her tail or jump around Shannon more- an absolute
joyous greeting.

"... Shannon is consistently warm and loving ..."
We always find it very difficult to leave our cat Harry and his
outside (stray) friends Uggie and Scrappy yet the demands of work
and the desire to see friends and family and to go on the occasional
vacation means that we can be away fairly often. This would be
almost unbearable if it weren’t for the fact that we know that
Shannon is looking after the cats. She has developed a very special
relationship with them and we believe that Harry very much looks
forward to her visits and to the attention he gets from her. When we
get back from our trips Harry’s almost nonchalant greeting, the
happiness in his eyes and his relaxed demeanor are very clear
indicators of how well he and Shannon have got on and how little
stress he feels in our absence.
A few years ago we brought a rescue cat, Reggie, into our home
and there were some adjustment difficulties between Harry and
Reggie. Shannon offered advice and researched potential solutions
for us. Even with the sometimes difficult relationship between Harry
and Reggie, Shannon managed to work miracles when she was looking
after them and we would always come home to two happy cats.
Shannon is consistently warm and loving with the cats and always
takes the responsibility associated with looking after them (and our
home) very seriously. She is completely reliable, professional and
dependable. Because of Shannon, we have peace of mind whenever we
need to be away. We have been clients of Shannon (and Pet Parade
Plus) for more than ten years and would, and do, strongly and
unreservedly recommend her to others with pets.

"... for Shannon, Pet Parade Plus is not just a business ..."
Finding someone to care for your pets who loves them almost
as much as you do may seem like an impossible challenge. I found
that in Shannon of Pet Parade Plus. My dog C-Moss, a lab/blue
tick hound and the “crazy” blue point Siamese cats, Sash and Jas
have been cared for by Shannon since 2002. Shannon’s love of
animals, combined with her professional and conscientious
approach makes me feel very fortunate she is part of our lives.
Something happened in April 2008 that reinforced to me how
dedicated Shannon is in caring for the pets who are not “mere
clients”. I arrived by ambulance at KGH after an accident to
find out I needed emergency surgery. I immediately thought of my
pets and left messages for Shannon on both her cell phone and
her home phone asking her to step in and take care of C-Moss,
Sash and Jas until I could contact her after surgery. A friend
who was at the hospital with me asked if I wanted her to go over
to my home and help out. I told her this wasn’t necessary
because I knew that no matter what time Shannon got my messages
she would go to the house and make sure my pets were okay.
Shannon got my message and went to my home late Sunday evening
just before I went up to the Operating Room. I knew she would. I
was totally confident because for Shannon, Pet Parade Plus is
not just a business; it’s her way of life.
I confess I keep all the little notes she leaves telling me
how C-Moss has done on walks; including one very funny one where
she explained that C-Moss had misbehaved and needed to have a
little “lecture” about that. Another note told me she thought
C-Moss was looking thin and wanted to make sure she had been to
the Vet recently and that nothing was wrong.
I would happily recommend Shannon to other pet owners. And
indeed I do.
